God’s mercy endures FOREVER!

How does that sit with you eternal suffering and judgment smoke that goes up forever in hell people?

How many times does the bible talk about eternal suffering compared to how many times about eternal mercy in this ONE psalm?

Psalm 136
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:
4 To Him who alone does great wonders,
For His mercy endures forever;
5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,
For His mercy endures forever;
6 To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,
For His mercy endures forever;
7 To Him who made great lights,
For His mercy endures forever—
8 The sun to rule by day,
For His mercy endures forever;
9 The moon and stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures forever.
10 To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,
For His mercy endures forever;
11 And brought out Israel from among them,
For His mercy endures forever;
12 With a strong hand, and with [a]an outstretched arm,
For His mercy endures forever;
13 To Him who divided the Red Sea in two,
For His mercy endures forever;
14 And made Israel pass through the midst of it,
For His mercy endures forever;
15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea,
For His mercy endures forever;
16 To Him who led His people through the wilderness,
For His mercy endures forever;
17 To Him who struck down great kings,
For His mercy endures forever;
18 And slew famous kings,
For His mercy endures forever—
19 Sihon king of the Amorites,
For His mercy endures forever;
20 And Og king of Bashan,
For His mercy endures forever—
21 And gave their land as a [b]heritage,
For His mercy endures forever;
22 A heritage to Israel His servant,
For His mercy endures forever.
23 Who remembered us in our lowly state,
For His mercy endures forever;
24 And rescued us from our enemies,
For His mercy endures forever;
25 Who gives food to all flesh,
For His mercy endures forever.
26 Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!
For His mercy endures forever.

I think all believers love Psalm 136.
I certainly do.

How many times does the bible talk about eternal suffering compared to how many times about eternal mercy in this ONE psalm?

That may be so. But that is not a point that He didn't warn of eternal punishment.

If you argue that God's mercy should be proportionally proclaimed MORE, that may be a good point at times. But because of THAT that does not make His warnings of eternal punishment vanish from His oracles.

Furthermore, it is His enduring mercy in a new heaven and new earth in which only righteousness dwells that the rebels of God be confined away somewhere too preoccupied with their abject failure of their revolt to do any further mischief in the universe.

Its not a mercy to them who are suffering. But they completely spurned God's mercy anyway. They didn't WANT it.

Its God's mercy to the eternally saved that Satan and his dupes are forever preoccupied to never again sully Paradise with thier failed revolt against the Truth.

24 And rescued us from our enemies,
For His mercy endures forever;

That is the enemies of God and His redeemed people. These enemies who didn't want God OR His mercy, forever.

Let's who wants God's mercy among the vocal critics to the Gospel here.

ThinkOfOne - Do you want God's mercy forever ?

Karoly aczel - Do you want God's mercy forever ?

JS357 - Do you want God's eternal mercy ?

BigDoggProblem - How about you? Do you want the eternal mercy of God? Think on it.

sonhouse - Do you want God's mercy which is everlasting ?

Ghost of a Duke - Do you want God and God's eternal mercy ?

Wolfgang59 - Do you want God's mercy ?

Just a few.

Yes Divegeester, God's mercy is everlasting. Some may choose to opt out of receiving any divine mercy.

Oh they receive His mercy DAILY. But they don't thank Him for it and don't want Him to bother them. In many cases they hope God doesn't exist.

“Some may choose to opt out of receiving any divine mercy.”

“Some” Billions
“May” Or may not I suppose
“Choose to opt out”

Hilarious; I’m reminded of this brilliant scene from Life of Brian which rips the guts out of your nonsense.

Crucifixion?
Yes...
Ok line on the left, one cross each
Next; crucifixion?
Err no freedom...
Oh really?
Ah yes I said I’d be a good guy in future and they let me go free...
Oh...oh, well in that case I...
A-ha!! Gotcha!! No it’s crucifixion really....I know l know... line on the left one cross each.

You don’t half talk some utter utter nonsense at times sonship.

God has mercy on many people every day. And some don't stop after one year and contemplate to give God one word of thanks for the previous year's mercy.

I asked some here. And they can answer. Don't need to consult your billions.

Ask any one of these people if after 365 days they paused for just a moment, looked back over the year and thought to say -

God, I just want to stop for a moment and say Thankyou for the mercy you showed towards me this last year.

If I spoke of the blessings of mercy God has had on them, they might turn it all around as an accusation against God that somebody ELSE went without that blessing, to prove God's unfairness.

He has mercy. But to the forever unreconciled how do know that mercy will be everlasting.

I think to some people here whom God knows will not receive Christ, He has mercy by not letting them know any more which would make them more accountable.

It could be that the darkness in theirs is also God's mercy to limit their culpability as they spend eternity separated from God.

I am called one of the “vocal critics to the Gospel.”

Then: “JS357 - Do you want God's eternal mercy ?”

If God’s mercy extends to those who judge me so kindly, as you do, I hope it extends further, to me, a somewhat OCD reader of texts, focusing IMO more on critiquing the writings of RHP posters, than on the gospels they supposedly support.

You are not one who considers a critique of your words to be a critique of God’s word, are you?

You have given me no credible reason to believe that this thing you call "God's mercy" actually exists. Nor have you given me any credible reason to believe I will be hung out on chains, burning, because of my lack of belief in it.
