Originally posted by DoctorScribblesLOL...yeah, I guess one could offer 10% compassion to one who is only 90% as evil as Satan. For example, a serial killer who murdered only prostitutes could expect some compassion while one who murders John and Jane Q Public should have the electric chair thrown at them. Did I answer your question?

and not to pass judgement and all that, isn't it in fact God himself who's
laughing his butt off (that is, assuming he has a butt - he probably
never takes a crap anyway, right?) as we rage at the wrong half-divinity?
God is the one who pass judgement, decide on suitable
punishment and has it executed through Satan. Hence, God is
the bugger in shame here. You see, he can't get his hands dirty (that
would sort of taint his credibility as the good guy - never mind the old
testament) so he drops the nasty stuff in the lap of Satan. And what's
the thanks Satan get for his hard, diligent and most sinister work?
No compassion from us mere mortals even.
We, who above all should understand the ungrateful task of being
handed the lousy cards (being mortals and all) and having to cheat our
way through life to get somewhere. We judge Satan, but dare not look at
the mightier himself for fear of crossing him. Talk about hypocrisy.
Now, how many of you think God will reward hypocrisy? Let me see some
hands folks!
Addition: Put your blame where blame is due, and He more
mighty take a liking to you. That's what I always say.
