Fair point. So if you believe that Satan and devils really exist, then you must accept that any requirement for free will is not a barrier to proof of God.

Since proof of God does not negate free will, why does he not show himself unambiguously as he purportedly did in the days of the old testament?

I hadn't thought of option 3!

Imagining option 4 gives me the impression that it is actually a 'no free will' situation.

And then there is the case where the entire god thing is simply a man made construct real only in the mind's of the people believing it and nowhere else such as in the universe.

He did in the New Testament. Have you ever heard of Jesus the Christ? How many times must He appear to man for man to believe and show some faith in Him? Must He be crucified over and over?

This is totally nonsensical.

Proof of God DOES negate Free Will.

"So if you believe that Satan and devils really exist, then you must accept that any requirement for free will is not a barrier to proof of God."

How so? Not following your "logic" here.

Proof of God DOES negate Free Will.

Then there must be no free will in heaven (or we are just as much in the dark about God in heaven as we are here on earth, as TWhitehead said)

How so? Not following your "logic" here.

Satan must have had free will in order to rebel against God. Satan had proof of God and yet also had free will. Therefore a need for free will cannot be a barrier to proof of God. So why does God not prove himself to us? For example by re-arranging the stars in the sky into a message from him in every language on the planet. Simples.

Twice would be good.
Once in Middle East and once in .... say South America.

Shouldnt be too difficult for god should it?

Two identical relgions in separate parts of the world would be good proof
and given what believers say it would make sense too for god to spread
the word a bit!

To the extent this might appear to be true (that there has not been enough time for the amount of evolution we see to have occurred), science seeks a naturalistic resolution of any apparent discrepency. That's what science does when it is being science. You prefer to make it a bogeyman. Unfortunately, many of your opponents make more of science than it is, making it into a source of knowledge about the supernatural, which it is not.

The Holy Bible says man is without excuse for not believing in the existence of God because His invisible attributes are visible in the things He has made. Yet many men would rather pretend that everything came into existence on its on for no purpose and that there is really no design or intelligence in nature, but just the illusion of design and intelligence. What fools!
