I smiled to you because I 'm sure that you will not be afraid at the valley of death; and because I know that you will stand fearless in front of your God thanks to your absolute sense of trust to Him, which it derives from your faith.
And I smiled to you also because I know that, once you stand fearless in front of ...[text shortened]... saved. You see, He can still perfect us and discipline us even if we have eternal redemption.

I'm serious black beetle.
One of the strongest delusions that a human being can have is that his or her actions and words are not being recorded by God.
He doesn't forget anything. He saw me. He heard me.
Thank God there is an eraser. It is called the blood of Jesus. We can always ask for forgiveness and cleansing in Christ.
Having to listen to all your words would be a lot more painful than being nailed to a cross.

Alright, this topic has evidently failed to spark any wider interest. For better or for worse it looks like its between Jaywill and Whodey. You may decide amongst yourselves who will be my opponent. Once that is done then we can get down to the business of selecting the judges. I will caution you both that this is a debate and not an evangelizing mission. I ...[text shortened]... o do the appropriate research and that you refrain from completely wasting my time and effort.

Separate posts? What do you mean? After the formal debate is over the topic will be thrown open to general discussion. What do you mean the debate doesn't belong in spirituality? How could a debate about Jesus belong anywhere else?
Spirituality?
I don't think a hypothetical debate about Jesus being a socilaist is particularly spiritual or even religious. But it is interesting as a debate and the interested parties mostly post here to be fair - no big deal, just an observation.
Originally posted by divegeesterWhether it is religious or not is debatable. But it is very spiritual, I assure you.

Jesus is the Son of God and at the same time a gifted Human but anyway not a Socialist
"Deity in political tight spot as the Son of God denies communist claims - staunch athiest charges to his defence in online slagging match - more on pages 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 23-36"
Originally posted by rwingettThank you, and such confidence too.
That is an assumption of which you will be relieved.
All the best with the debate when it finally gets going; I'm really looking forward to it.
Can athiests be socialists? Maybe I'll start a debate on that one. I think they all are actually, but that IS a big assumption!
EDIT: Sorry for the somewhat random post, I'm at a business conference, it's late and well.....you know.
what are you expecting from the judges?
are you wanting us to discuss the debate somewhere before coming up with a vote to decide the winner (like a jury) or do you simply want us to read your debate and decide for ourselves who we think the winner should be and than have a vote without talking with the other judges?
Originally posted by trev33I would think that you'd make your own independent decision.
