Rather than an epitaph, how about writing your own life headline?
Believe I'd be inclined to go with the last line of my RHP Profile:
"His Grace/our gratitude. Sans Dieu Rien."

They believed that all the stones should be humble and low. And they had a variety of thoughtful sayings and verses on them. I quite enjoyed strolling around and reading those gravestones.

Sorry I cannot quote to you more. I remember the overall impression. Never was walking in a graveyard so, well .... refreshing.
But that was around 93. Specifics I can't give you.
