Even if I believed it was really Jesus (ie the evidence was overwhelmingly in that direction), I would then read the Bible and probably have quite a different interpretation of it from you. I am not sure if I would have any repenting to do - I think it unlikely. I probably would 'turn to Him' though I am not entirely certain what you mean by that phrase.

You might be right, but you might be wrong also. And if you are wrong, if it becomes possible to continue existing indefinitely, or at least for the next 2000 years, will you choose not to? And if you do, and if still no second coming, will you still believe?

This debate about 2000 years is irrelevant, isn't it generally accepted that rapture will occur on 10/21/11?

I mean, know it was also predicted to occur on the 10/28/92.

But then I thought the more commonly accepted date, based on the bible, was this year:

Yeah, it would be like demonic from a certain point of view.
Bit more elaborate than a white puffy thing, but yeah, you know what I mean 😉

Well there is a date we can work with.

So if 10/21/2011 comes and goes with no rapture, will you still believe?

I don't believe that, that date is right because no one knows.

If Jesus came back and you were still alive and about 500 million people were disappeared would you then believe?

The bible claims that from Adam to Jesus was about 4,000 years. So my guess is that from Jesus resurrection to His second coming will be lessthen 4,000 years. So I could say that Jesus is coming back sometime in the next 2,000 years.
Who exactly are these 500,000,000 people?

Please show me WHERE the term "rapture" is found in your Bible. ( please dont insult me by referring to the the Latin Vulgate)

"The Rapture" is a false doctrine that is not scriptural and only came about in the early 1820's

It is just a word to descibe the event that will take place.

How does one come up with that huge number though? Nothing that big is mentioned in the Bible..

If those that disappeared were all Muslim would you:
1. Become a Muslim and worship Allah.
2. Think it was a conspiracy of the US government.
3. Think it was terrorists that have gone into hiding.
4. Assume they have been taken to hell by the Devil.
5. Other.

From being filled with the spirit a number of times I can be sure that it will not be the muslims that God takes out of the world to not have to be here for the end times.
