i asked this question on another thread and was wondering how the other people on the forum would answer.

if you died and went to heaven and discovered that it wasnt your god(or belief system) running the show, would you convert to the religion of which ever god it was?

No.

Nothing that demands worship deserves it.

I don't know about converting to a religion, but I'd change my beliefs on heaven/god if there was compelling evidence [obviously going to heaven and actually meeting god would qualify 😵].

Too late by then, Pal. Option of believing or not believing is open in this lifetime. Doubt there are even

any casinos in the world that will allow you to move your chips once the cards are dealt or dice rolled.

I'd think, "Ah, so this is what is happening now."

I was 'saved' when I was a kid and I believed in Jesus. Does that mean I still go to heaven even though I no longer believe in God? If you're one of the "Once Saved, Always Saved" crowd then I guess we'll be seeing each other in heaven, right?

I think "awakening" is the last thing that will be used to describe us at the time of death. 😛

Is conversion something we choose?

What do you mean by 'convert'? Lets say the Roman Catholics turned out to have the most accurate description of God. Are you asking would I now believe that God exists? Surely that is assumed in the question.
So are you asking, would I now 'become a Roman Catholic' and follow all their traditions (very few of which have anything to do with God)?
Or are you asking if I would worship this God? I think the answer to that would depend on which God in particular it turned out to be.

OK if that's the choice given, conversion or instant death, I'd take instant death. I was prepared for it anyway -- at least as much as I could expect to be -- and if someone is in such a mood and capable of delivering on that kind of choice (conversion or death) I'd rather not be in that kind of world. It has been played out now and then here on earth and the people offering that choice are never the sort I'd trust.

When people who turned away from Jesus in this life find themselves standing
before Jesus on judgment day, and lets be clear here they have denied Him
before man and God, what do you think they are going to hear? I think they
hear depart from me I never knew you, because I don't think anyone whoever
had a real relationship with God through Jesus Christ would or could say what
you just did, and if you want to tell me your relationship was real why deny Him
now, if it never was, than you too admit you never had one.
