@josephwsaid You think you're spiritual, but only because you're religious.
I know divegeester very well and have spent 100s of hours talking to him away from here. That aside, and even just based on how he posts here, I'd say he is one of the LEAST religious followers of Christ I know. You on the other hand... I can't say the same. I typed all this instead of merely responding to you with "Oh the irony".
@pettytalksaid To kill two birds here with one stone. If God has certain individuals here acting as His advocates to defend His honor and His word, then it can be concluded that God must either be mad or a fool. However, I personally know God, and I am aware that no one was hired as His lawyer or as a contract/covenant specialist.
"I will now retreat to my vantage point and observe what further nonsense emerges.
This does not seem right - the conclusion would best be, based on the information that we have here, that he does not feel a need to endlessly present and clarify himself.
Perhaps this is because it is actually good that Christians themselves have questions and discuss in-depth about it with one another, and because the mystery and the uncertainty heighten the virtue of faith...
But it does not follow to me that God would be "mad" or a "fool" because he gives you the liberty to disbelieve and to mock him. Why is it the case that you think he would feel so diminished if some people misread him or disbelieved him?
