well God let that one guy be really rich..he had tons of goats and wives and crops but then God told him to climb the mountain and slay his own son..

Its not about me or you or being powerful ... moron. The bible is full of examples of things people had to do to appease the wrath of God. Sacrifices, death, stoning, being righteous, performing rituals, observing rules.... the list is endless.

Read the first 5 books of the bible.

The only illustrations of appeasing gods are those things done by people to appease false gods. You should know that already, but apparently you don't.

It's not possible to appease the only true and living God who needs nothing from His creation to augment who He is.

Here is the what Moses is telling the Jews:
- God gets jealous
- God gets angry
- God kills out those who gets him angry
- So to avoid that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS

(For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth. Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee. And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, (Deuteronomy 6:15-18 KJV)

So you can keep your church nonsense. to yourself
