Discussions in forums can often get heated, but while you may take issue with another poster's viewpoint, you must not resort to personal attacks or abuse. Do not post offensive or inflammatory remarks that stray beyond the bounds of reasoned debate. Calling another poster an "idiot" will leave a post subject to immediate removal.

My post is amended.

Other than that there is not a problem?

Thanks.

My post goes for Seitse too. If you both have issues, leave them out the forums.

Getting this thread back on track.

It appears Seitse is 'very happy' that faith healers fleece money from the sick and desperate. Are there any other Christians who share these views? Personally i find it rather abhorrent.

The purpose wasn't to debunk the bible, but to debunk the evangelists who use the bible for their multi-million dollar scam.
Indeed, with respect to their faith in God, the faith healer's closing comments to the audience were merciful to say the least.

Yes, back on track: I find your fallaciousness, misled assumptions
and anger issues quite pathetic.

Anything else to add?

What are you wittering on about now?

This was the question i asked you on page 2 -

Are you happy that 'faith healers' fleece money from the sick and desperate?

to which you replied -

I am very happy.

Anger issues? Goodness grief, and you talk about fallaciousness and misled assumptions.

I am worried about you.

You know you can pop a vain or complicate those intestinal tract issues, don't you?

Please, calm down. The Moderator has asked you kindly.

I recommend a vacation from these forums.

Try the beach, should it be within your budget.

Hugs & kisses,
your pal Seitse

There are "Faith-Healers" who wish to make a very good living off
the money they collect from those they feel are gullible enough to
believe that they have some special connection to God. Some are
very unethical in the way they attempt to trick people to believe
this. I am sure they will have to account for their actions on
Judgement Day, as will many other religious leaders, that are like
the Pharasees.

Your concern is touching, but i can you assure you i am perfectly calm. I have no intestinal tract issues, my only biological concern is a tight Adductor magnus in my right leg. Nothing pressing, but it does slightly impinge on my squat abilities, i descend to the right, the aforementioned muscle also restricts my lateral sub-system on my right side. But definitely no intestinal tract issues. To put your mind finally at rest my girlfriend is a healthcare professional so should the medical issue you seem to have diagnosed through the internet crop up i will be in safe hands.

Thanks for the forum recommendation, but alas i have no desire to take a vacation, your trolling is keeping me entertained for the time being.

Keep dancing for me. You'll be back.

C'mon. At least exhibit a little integrity.

You read the following written by that pastor:
Recently I have been studying the Gospel of John noticed that John 3:16 was not in red. The passage before it is, but not John 3:16.r

To which you responded:
I wonder what translation he was looking at, if it was a red letter edition, that did not have John 3:16 in red.

Clearly it was a red letter edition, but you failed to understand this.
You read the following written by me:
It isn't that John said it to Nicodemus, rather the writer of John was making a general comment.

To which you responded:
I read the reference you gave very carefully. It does not say John said anything to Nicodemus.

Clearly I wasn't asserting that "John said it to Nicodemus", but you failed to understand this.
You read the following written by me:
It's my understanding that the original text does not include quotation marks....Some translations don't use quotation marks leaving it ambiguous, others attribute it to Jesus and others attribute it to John.

To which you responded with the following:
About the quotation marks, that is done because it is an english
translation and we use quotation marks in English when we repeat
what someone has said. The whole Hebrew and Greek original
text did not use quotation marks. There was no such thing back
then. It had not been invented at that time. Do more study before
you make these statements off the top of your head.

Clearly I understood that the original text did not have quotation marks, but you failed to understand this. To make matters worse, you capped it off with a snide remark.
So as I said, "Keep in mind that in the 'Who was (is) Jesus' thread, it was you that seemed to struggle to understand much of what you read."

You did show that you struggled to understand much of what you read as I've proven above. Instead of admitting it, you've shown a complete lack of integrity in denying it.

Clearly there was more than "maybe one thing" and it wasn't because I was
"not very clear in [my] statement what [I] meant" as you've asserted.

So set your pride aside and admit that you struggled to understand much of what you read. You should also seriously consider how well someone with reading skills that deficient could possibly understand the "Holy Bible".
