Can't you see even that outline of respect?

to be with loved ones again... never a time for a guy's emotions to vibrate uncontrollably.

You, Sir, appear to be struggling with the basic acceptance of authority. If we replaced the words

'sin' with 'tos violation' and 'God' with 'Russ', would you accuse Russ of being a "d___" in public?

I would indeed call Russ a dick if he created a site along with a TOS for which mere usage of the site directly causes a violation of the TOS and then he tortured people for violating terms of service.

Your glorious day was/is:

---

Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.

And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.

And how else can it be?

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.

Is not the cup that hold your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven?

And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, "Joy is greater than sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater."

But I say unto you, they are inseparable.

Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.

Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.

When the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.

Kahlil Gibran.

As for a guy's emotions not to vibrate? Did you never vibrate in love?

but if you eliminate all of your suffering and reach that "standstill" - it also means eliminating your joy

is this really the best way?

Nice. Reference to emotions was in context of personal loss and adversity,

not the joys of intimate romantic rapport and fulfilling love. Back on track.

There was no aforementioned standstill.

Being carved into by suffering and not only one's own, but those of others also, enables the ability to work against that suffering - with knowledge and experience - enabling more joy all around.

That is 'one' way.

In music, there's something about performers who "have the world written on their face" -- they seem to produce some of the most "joyful" music precisely because they have suffered. Johnny Cash comes to mind.

Similarly, this is what made the blues such great music.

In this sense he is not a god of love, but a revencheful god.
Why would you want to do anything that would not please our Father
in Heaven?

And you know that how? You think you know the mind of your god because of your bible?
