Fellow theists! Remember that when an atheist quotes the rule of law or 'logic and evidence' as his ultimate authority, he is actually saying he does not have any real faith to stand behind!
Logic and evidence is not the final arbiter of what is right when considering God. It can never be. God surpasses these mortal, worldly standards.

Sorry. No evidence. Fails the logic test. You fit the profile of evidence deficiency.
In matters of God, faith rules.
"Evidence? Evidence? We don't need no steenking evidence!!"
God lives and moves in His mysterious ways quite well without evidence, thank you very much. Only humans think they need "evidence".

That's right.

Jesus spoke of this. He said the people of the World can't understand... he likened it to them being deaf and blind. And he said they will remain that way until he decides to open their eyes and ears.
Whether it's because of the Lord's choice alone, or because of something the unbeliever does to trigger it -- either way, it's an act of GOD that is required in order for faith and belief to be possible. Without that act, it cannot possibly happen.
Do you remember when Christ pierced your unbelieving heart? I remember it like it was yesterday. And yet--curiously--it seems like a dream.

It was a revelation. A bombshell. The ultimate "Aha!" moment.
Yes, faith IS personal. As I said in another thread, that is the beauty and the genius of it.
