If they were sure then they wouldn't need faith (?)
No, no, no.

As I just said to KJ, faith is why we are 100% sure.

Faith isn't some artificial "crutch" for those who aren't "sure".

It is the reason why we are sure.

Two people is in a faulty airplane. They have to jump in order to avoid to die in the crash.
One jumps with a parachute.
One jumps with prayers.
Who will survive safely to the ground? Who has the faith? On what?

Sacrificing the body but save the soul?
I would take the parachute, the other one can pray. That's what I would choose.
I have faith in the parachute.

You miss the point, not surprising.

Perhaps you could answer this question, why would the person who prays not use a parachute? Is it because there is only one so out of self sacrifice allowing the other to use it?

One survives. One dies. Simple as that.

...you say with no explanation at all.

Only one can land safely on the ground. He with the parachute.
How will the other one survive, sound and safe, would you say?

As the man said, all you need is the faith of the mustard seed.
I stand corrected

All you have is personal attack?

Say it isn't so.

Perhaps you can explain why both could not use parachutes.

You miss the point of the anecdote. 'One jumps with a parachute. One jumps with prayers'.

Of course both could have used parachutes, but that's not what has occurred. One has trusted themselves to God and one has trusted themselves to mans ingenuity.

I thought he meant that one without parachute will live forever among the Virgins of the Paradise. The other one will land safely and, eh, just live. Who will be happier?

When did this occur? In a bigot's mind?

Even though his bigotry is in line with your own, it is still bigotry.
