If this is what theist doctrine would have us believe, isn't it a very parochial conceptualisation of a creator entity.

It is more appropriate to conceive of God's earnest desire as the salvation of his children on earth.

God is also due worship in the same way that mothers & fathers are due their own honor for their sacrifice and hard work... But it is on a much higher level than that.

It seems that one has to buy into the notion of an anthropomorphized creator entity big time - even as you concede that it's unknowable - if one is to rote learn and internalize your particular religious dogma. Too farfetched for me. But, each to their own.

On my side, there seems to be a lot of projection involved in human conceptions of the purportedly inconceivable "God".

It might very well turn out that you are asking the wrong questions.

In Christian terms, the Light of Christ abides everywhere and for all Time.

It's just a matter of trusting and relaxing into That.

However, in many cases it's quite understandable that someone might be afraid of losing or giving up something.

It would be incorrect for me to ask you such a personal question about that, so I won't.
