It's true that between 1981 and 1988 (greg. calender) chess was
forbidden by Khomeini. I think he realised that forbidding Iranians to play
chess is a most futile exercise. The modern version of chess originated
from shatranj, which was the Iranian (persian) version of chess. Simply put,
chess is big in Iran. 🙂

Same thing here. When you create a game, or when you agree to play a
game, there will be a time limit. It can be one day per move or fourteen
days per move. If you don't move within the given time frame, then
that's the same as abandoning the game. If you abandon a game, but
your opponent is there the whole time, isn't it fair that your opponent
should be allowed to claim the win?
Granted, you had reasons for not being able to move, but how can the
chess site know this?
Don't take it too seriously. We've all lost games on time out. I've lost
games on time out that I was sure I would have won otherwise. It always
annoy the perfectionist in me, but then I just shrug it off and start over.

There is no way for RHP to decide if you could or could not get online to make your moves, your game times need to be adjusted.

no matter if i lost a few games
i'm going to start again
