Remove the reccing system all together

To interject--I'd like to be able to conceal my rec counter (so as to gloat over them in the dark, you understand).

People have to be really petty to care this much about who recs what.

Sometimes I wonder if they are waiting to find enlightenment in a single post removed out of context that is sitting on the top of the recs page.

Maybe if there was the option to "show total recs" or "hide total recs", those who don't wish to see it could turn it off.
