If anyone is interested, I did send feedback regarding a few different options, (Trial subscription, Lifetime Subscription, and Several different subscription levels) and got the following reply:

Hi Kareem,

Thank you for your feedback. These are some interesting suggestions.

Although we have considered such things before, we've never ruled out introducing different subscriptions levels and it is probably something that we will look at again soon as I believe you are correct that it could be beneficial for both us and our members.

Regards,

Thanks for posting that. It'd be interesting to see what they consider to be interesting alternatives to the existing subscription level(s).

Why did I use the $89.95 option from Gameknot - it was the option that would allow me to play the same amount of games as I do here, so I was comparing like with like.

Why would I want to pay $50 bucks more on another site to get the same that I get here?

As f ...[text shortened]... 00?

No difference on chess sites and its nothing to do with being cheap, its value for money.
Keep in mind the $384.00 for life time was their 10 year anniversary special. You have a site that has been around for awhile same as this one. You can pretty much rest easy they aren't going anywhere. 😉

The 89.95 is for 200 games, when is the last time you had 200 games on the go?

I think the 59.95 would be more in your range of games you play. I think they could easily raise the the Subs to 59.95 on this site, where you going to get better for cheaper? No where that I know on the interwebz! Also could still have the 39.95 for those who don't want to play more than 50 at once lets say as an example.

As for cars: Let me teach you a little bit here about wheeling and dealing with them. If you can get the exact same car for $35.000.00 somewhere else, & you can prove it the dealership looking for the sucker who will pay $40,000.00 will knock their price down to match the other guys $35.000.00, & more times than not throw in a little something extra for you.

You also want to try and find out about the different dealerships track records in maintenance & servicing the cars. See if they have any black marks with the better business bureau, etc. Do your homework always.

Nothing is really safe in the world, look how many businesses go to the wall every year, many with 50+ years of trading behind them.

The $89.95 option is for between 100 and 200 games which is my normal. The lower option only allows up to 100 games and I am currently playing more than that.

As for a dealership that wants to screw an extra $5K off me then they can bugger off. There so called "better service" is likely to be funded by the idiots who never looked elsewhere in the first place and paid the inflated price.

The good news is that Russ and Chris are currently happy with the membership offerings and not ready to change.

We may see some big changes in 2011!

I don't think one would see that kind of a price difference with the cars anyways. There is too many dealerships as it is, to go and out price yourself. 😉 I always try to get the vechicle for a lower amount than the asking price, and 99 times out of a 100, get what I want.

OK, I didn't realize you average between 100 and 200 games. You are a little over a 100 right now, still quite a ways from 200. But I am down under my usual 200 mark. Perhaps we are both taking a little rest. 😉

'i don't think he's ging to care about it if he dies...'

You guys have not been reading the religious forum,

When you die you come back as a lizard.
Of course you won't be able to remember your password, that is
why when you log in you see a wee box that ask's you.

Forgotten your password?

Russ has put this bit on for all reincarnated lizards who become RHP lifers.

So relax, Russ has it covered.

That is why you never see lizards in internet cafes,
they have forgotten their passwords.

However......(now I have thought about it).

If you take out a life Red Hot Pawn subscription you get reincarnated
as a communist deer born on the lip of some active volcano.

Yup...

....A Red, Hot, Fawn.

I asked a few years ago about a 'Life Red Hot Pawn Subscription', was told they didn't give them out at that time.

Have things changed and I missed it?

Or are you just try to be being funny about the reincarnated communist deer?

Hard to tell with you. 😉

Life subs have always available been here.

You keep paying your yearly sub and when you die you stop paying.

You can see a lawyer and put it your will that you want to keep
paying your RHP sub after you die.

Then you become a dead membership member.

Most lizards are dead membership members. The planet is crawling with them.
You never hear from them because they have forgeotten their passwords.
