You don't do 'back and forth'. You do 'the poor reading comprehension of X' or the Troll Y never stops attacking me". Or other strings of pejoratives like that will win in a formal debate. My guess is you didn't do much in the way of formal debates because you know that would cost you debate points instead of just addressing some issue you are talking about.
