@Ponderable
Just another troll now arguing semantics.
Just another troll now arguing semantics.
@metal-brain saidWait, why's it gene therapy?
If that was true you would know COVID-19 mRNA Vaccines Are “Gene Therapy" and Fulfill None of the Criteria for a Vaccine.

@wildgrass saidRead the link.
Wait, why's it gene therapy?
@metal-brain saidSo... it's not. The link said it was but, if you read it, it didn't provide evidence. All gene therapy involves DNA modifications, which vaccines cannot do.
Read the link.
If you are too lazy to read it just say so.
@wildgrass said"All gene therapy involves DNA modifications"

@sonhouse saidI never claimed DNA was altered.
@Metal-Brain

There is no alteration of genetic material, no DNA is altered. Messenger RNA ONLY makes proteins.
You really need to do genetics 101 at your local community college and THEN start arguing here.
@metal-brain saidYou cliamed:
I never claimed DNA was altered.
You need to go back to grade school and learn how to read.
@ponderable saidHere is an excerpt from the link below:
You cliamed:
mRNA vaccines are gene therapy
gene therapy is defined by the FDA as:
Gene therapy is a technique that modifies a person’s genes to treat or cure disease. Gene therapies can work by several mechanisms:
Replacing a disease-causing gene with a healthy copy of the gene
Inactivating a disease-causing gene that is not functioning properly
I ...[text shortened]... be helped in understanding (as all scientist should), please let us understand how your mind works.
@ponderable saidNope. You overlooked this part:
@Metal-Brain
Yes. And now show that the mRNA works as retrovirus and you are right.
@metal-brain saidYou eat RNA in your diet every day. It would be bizarre to call that gene therapy.
"All gene therapy involves DNA modifications"
That is not true. Stop making up crap!
@metal-brain saidYou've got this backwards. Viruses contain RNA. RNA is not a virus.
Nope. You overlooked this part:
(The term 'DNA' may be an oversimplification, as some viruses contain RNA, and gene therapy could take this form as well.)
Now accept you piled onto a myth introduced by wildgrass because you didn't want to accept facts.
@wildgrass saidLOL! Your ignorance is amusing!

Really? Then how does the mRNA become a virus?
A virus cannot reproduce on it's own.
How does a virus manipulate a cell into reproducing a virus?
A virus has to start from something. If it isn't mRNA what is it?
Does a cell reproduce a complete virus or not?
😆
Really? Then how does the mRNA become a virus?Yikes. I see we're veering into pointless semantics over substantial debate. You're missing the point. An mRNA "becoming" a virus does not mean an mRNA is a virus. Obviously. The vaccine cannot modify DNA and cannot function as a virus.
