I hate puzzles like this. That is, I hate having to solve them.

I'm always frustrated until the answer is given out then I feel like an idiot for missing the obvious.

When I can present a puzzle like this for someone else to solve however I always feel diabolocially brilliant.

This might be a clue:

Obama would have his personal number as 14, doesn't matter if he is a member or not.
