my total solving time is 43.4 hours... it says it excludes outliers but I have my doubts as some problems I leave sitting there for hours while I am doing something else.


Edit: I'm pretty sure I said this but I injured myself in a way that keeps me from work so I basically study chess and chase de ladies all day long.

Might be my favorite! I'm proud of this one. I calculated 13 moves(26 ply) with about four off shoot lines that averaged 3 moves (6 ply) so a total of 23 moves (46 ply.) This ability is all thanks to chesstempo(and of course determined practice.)

It isn't really needed for you to do this you can solve it step by step but I have been using chesstempo to work on my calculation ability for OTB play and it has really been paying off. I think being able to calculate long tactical lines like this is what separates the sub 1600 from the 1850+(only on chesstempo.)

If you are serious about chess then you should visit this site. It even has an endgame trainer for theoretical positions and practical positions that doesn't fail you for missing the quickest win as long as you don't make a drawing/losing move.

chesstempo is probably the best site on the internet for improving your tactics I just cant seem to get those positions
