Topalov won again, giving him 5.5/6, 1.5 points ahead of Nakamura, who drew in 95(!)moves against Carlsen.
I gave up watching that Carlsen game, he must be the most boring world champion in history, seriously, its better watching two patzers play blitz than the world champion trying to grind out a win in a drawn position for forty moves.

He probably dragged it out because Naka is his "customer"(11-0)and was hoping for a blunder.

sure but Naka demonstrated that its possible to play for a draw against Carlsen and there is essentially nothing he can do. I am beginning to think that they way to play against Carlsen is to try to force him to take risks otherwise he simply will play on in even positions with little risk forever and ever.

Rd. 7: all 5 games drawn, so Topalov keeps a 1.5 lead with 2 rounds to go. Magnus basically chucked in the sponge with a 20 move draw against Vachier.

Anish Girly the wee wussbag beat Topa today, very sad, Girly is one of the few top chessplayers i don't like.

With Topalov losing and Anand winning, Topalov stands in first with 6 points, with Vishy right behind him at 5.5-and they play each other tomorrow, with the Bulgarian as White. If he loses that game, it will go down as one of the biggest chokes in chess history.

I wouldn't quite go that far, Anand has played well, and has done his usual unbeaten routine,
whereas "Unstopalov", who has had quite a bit of luck, has only lost one game.

Anand will be the one fighting for a win in this final game, Toppy will however not play passively, as he likes fighting chess also.
It promises to be a cracker, but I'm kinda leaning in favour of Anand winning... I predict a Sicilian Najdorf, like how they did in the candidates:

Something tells me Topalov will not resist trying it again [and failing] 😀

Anand wimped out and took a draw after only 18 moves. So Topolov wins with 6.5, Anand and Nakamura(who beat Aronion)tied for 2-3 with 6. Carlsen lost to Hammer in 34 moves, and finished at -2!

There was no chocking going on, Anand & Topalov are chess professionals,

The prize fund was:

1st $75, 000
2nd $50, 000
3rd $40, 000
4th $30, 000
5th $25, 000
6th $20, 000
7th $15, 000
8th $15, 000
9th $15, 000
10th $15, 000

Going into the last round Topalov leads Anand by ½ point, who in turns leads Giri and Nakumura by ½ point.

Do the maths

If Topalov losses and Girir and Nakamura win then instead of getting $75,000 he
he shares 2-4th spot and gets $40,000 - that is a difference of $35,000. Take the draw.

Anand is in the same position. A loss for him and a Giri and Nakamura win
drops him to 4th and $30,000. taking the quick draw means he at least has
$50,000 - if one of the other two win (Nakamura did) then it drops to $45,000.

It always about the money.
