It did help me. I need a little more help. I am on Chapter 7 and following the puzzle in the Eagle's place. It is like this...
In this composition, White moved last. Set the board as it was 2 moves ago. Hints are that
1. Black is in check so it must have been with the checking piece.
2. Black's king was not the last piece to move.
3. The white knight must have capture a piece.
The setup is
White Pawns @ a3,b3,d4
White Knights @ a2,b2
White King @ c1
Black King @ c3
