"Not a great game." 😕

I thought it was fascinating. Not your average Kramnik type of game at all.

Nak declines a perpetual early doors. (move 23.Nb1 instead of 23.Bb4).
Will be a three fold rep which Kramnik was maybe expecting.

A few moves later Kramnik sacs the exchange for a pawn.
Now was he pushed or did he jump?

Did he have too, did he need to or did he do it just to teach Nak a lesson
for declining the draw.

Nak attacks. Krmanik has to pull off the Queens an exchange down to quell it.

Krammnik sacs a Knight perhaps thinking he will win a Rook with his super
passed d-pawn on the 7th rank. Did he miss Nak's 43.Ne3.

Suddenly Kramnik has three connected pawns and they storm down the board
two of them reaching the 7th rank.

Nak underpromotes to a Knight with a check to maintain winning chances.

If he does not play 62 c8 = N+ then this happens.

Two Knghts and Bishop v a Bishop is a win.

Here is the full game.

Why does everyone want to ruffle my feathers?

Leave my feathers alone the lot of you.

Even the Duchess is wading in.

I don't have any feathers left.

They fell out after looking at some of the games on here.

(I could borrow some of the Duck's but he is just my imaginary friend.
Infact he is my only friend.) :'(

Here's a silly question. Why are the players at the Olympiad dressed so casually? Usually at the top tournaments, men wear jackets and ties, here they are wearing polo shirts. Kamsky's wearing a tank top with a big sweat stain on the back and a baseball cap.

(Hmm... maybe that points to the reason. It may be hot in there, in Istanbul, in September.)
