Here is the game in the last round of Candidate Toruament in 1959: he had beaten Smyslov in 19 moves.
Gligoric later described this game: I was planing to say good bye to chess; I was disappointed with results, Yugoslavian public expected from me only first place. But after that game, I deciede to go on...

Gligoric had a romantic view on chess preparations. He believed that a grandmaster should find the bst move over board. He retold his talks with young Fischer during interzonal tournament in Portoroz 1958, and Candidate Tournament in Bled Ljubljana Zagreb Beograd 1959:: "Fischer was constantly asking me about opening variations, and was pretty disappointed when he realized, I do not know much of that; at the time I thought a grandmaster should invent almost everything oer board..."

is music taste was very modern. He loved moder American pop music (!!), among others also Madonna...

On the link above you can see the promotion of his CD.

I was just curious to see if Gligoric had any more miniatures under his belt. This nice little game came up in a search.

How many great or notable age 65+ GMs still survive?

Bisguier and Spassky and Korchnoi are all I can think of.
Is Portisch still alive?

I'm currently reading a collection of Botwinnik games which claims that they were actually 2/6/2, one draw more. Then again, considering the general quality of the text, that may well be a typo.

1. Ruy Lopez exchange variation 5....f6 6. d4

2.
1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 Bg7 4.e4 d6 5.Nf3 O-O 6.Be2 e5 7.Be3
King's Indian Defence 7. Be3

Maybe most important, he invented Mar Del Plata Variation in the game against Najdirf 1953.

Just returned home from the funeral. Minister for sport (newly appointed fomen's Gm Alisa Maric, which was a sad coincidence) and Serbian Prime Minister (surrounded by bunch of body guards) showed at the end. (Also the president of Olympic Committee of Serbia - bsketball player Vlade Divac on his own.)
There were a few surviving players form Gliga's time, a hundred chess lovers.
Brass band played ... American jazz, it reminded on gospel funeral, though not too cheerful.
No priest, Gliga was agnostic.
It was said that Bulgarian mystic famous Vanga /"baba Vanga"/ predicited to Gligoric that he would live 104 year. He also made such claims several times.
