It's a sad thought but think about ourselves. How could any of us play 1500 games and have our rating increase steadily? I can only think of one possible way for myself. I certainly hope this phenomenon hasn't been helped by Mr. Fritz
Lets assume he moves on average every 3 days, thats 500 games a day. At 1 minute a move that is 8hrs 20mins with a little time left over for eating and sleeping.
I suppose if I had nothing else to do I could take on this many games but I am not sure I could maintain a rating above 1700, maybe 1500 (maximum).

Can the number of games in progress have a negative effect on your rating?
Ex: User 332714 has 962 in progress at this moment!
I'm playing against a guy that is playing like 1,400 games!
I asked how he could keep up making hundreds of moves per day
and he tells me that it's easy.
He just put them in folders/catagories.
I have no idea what he is talking about.
But he is playing decent chess.
I have 83 games going
and I can hardly keep up!
