61.Kf5 seems better imo. The final position is stalemate.

I thought so at the time. I was black, defending a bad position. I wonder if I had a forced draw at the end. I thought so and it ended in stalemate but did white have a way to force me out of my cubby hole and take my last pawn? I think this is the longest game I ever played at RHP.

I think white had a won ending.Instead of 63.Bf6 I play 63.Be3.

It goes something like this

So the key was saving that g pawn. What about later when I got that pawn, was it a draw still?

Yes,because the white king can't get through to the black h-pawn.

I think once White played 63.Bf6 and allowed the d-pawn and g-pawn to be traded off, it was pretty much a draw.

BTW, you missed a shot earlier in the game with White's overworked queen:
15...Bb5 16.Qd2 (or Qc2 or Qd1) Bxe2 17.Qxe2 Rxc3 🙂

Also, I think 61.g6 would have been a much stronger move than 61.h6

I saw the first part but thought he had saved things with the knight move. Too bad, eh.

Could 18.Nc5 have allowed White to trap the rook (Qd2, etc.)? After ...Rxf6 or ...Rxc5 material is roughly equal though Black is arguably better. I haven't tried this on a board: just a casual on-screen look. Not sure what the positional consequences are either way.

What about Black just playing bishop takes knight?

Doesn't recapture with a pawn close the file just as surely as the knight?
