Developing quickly in the opening is not a leisurely activity.
Its more than simply moving a new piece into the centre every move.

Chess is a fight right from the start.

Look for tactics or combinations that don`t win you any material but instead result in you being ahead in development.

Try to force yourself to be ahead in development by forcing means.
For example sacrifice material in order to be ahead in development.

I like to sacrifice development in order to be ahead in material. πŸ˜•

Your not actually winning material, you're just borrowing it. Eventually, you'll have to return it, and probably with interest!

By that logic, then gambits must be the best openingsπŸ™„

I think you need to find a balance between materialism and development, because if you take either to the extreme, you will lose games.

That would depend on how good you are at debt collection. I personally don't play many gambits, because my debt collecting abilities absolutely suck πŸ˜‰

One point of material advantage is exactly the same worth as one point of strategic advantage.

I gladly sac my queen to have a sure mate in sight.
But I also gladly let my opponent sac antyhing that is unsound.

Never mind that... I'm still trying to figure out how he'd refuse to let his opponent sac something that's sound.
