The smell of gun oil, the metallic thump of a chambering round, the break of a trigger, the firm push of recoil, the glitter of falling brass and holes in paper souls.

About @Hand-of-Hecate:

"Dear Grampy Bobby,

There's a lesson in this for you. If God don't cut you down, time'll grind you in its gears:

"You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God'll cut you down
Sooner or later God'll cut you down

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down

Well my goodness gracious let me tell you the news
My head's been wet with the midnight dew
I've been down on bended knee talkin' to the man from Galilee*
He spoke to me in the voice so sweet
I thought I heard the shuffle of the angel's feet
He called my name and my heart stood still
When he said, "John go do My will!"

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down

You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God'll cut you down
Sooner or later God'll cut you down

Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand
Workin' in the dark against your fellow man
But as sure as God made black and white
What's done in the dark will be brought to the light

You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God'll cut you down
Sooner or later God'll cut you down

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut you down
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut you down
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut you down"

The Man in Black"

I am just so tired of reading profiles in forum threads. If I want to read a profile I'm perfectly capable of doing so.

I, for one, hate my profile.
Nose dominates my face, chin not nearly as emphatic as I'd like.
Hair's good, though.

Appears to me like a poem to GB.... Who in their right mind would put that in their profile?

Then why on earth does this online correspondence chess site provide Personal Profiles for every RHP Subscriber and Non-Subscriber?

When everyone knows that there are profiles, and where they are, why do you keep copy pasting them into thread posts?

Is it your intent that this thread isn't actually about answering the question "What Things Make You Happy?" but is instead about speculating about - or attributing to others - what might make them happy? You've shifted the topic to Hand of Hecate's profile content and it's not even half way down page 1 yet. What's more, you yourself haven't even offered an original or personal answer to the OP yet.
