Reminiscences....
When I was married, the world population was 3.5bn. It is now 7bn. I was living on the outskirts of Pretoria - we still own the house, which is now near the centre of town, whilst we have moved ever further eastward.
My three married children and four grand-children will join us for our Golden Anniversary on 23 January, 2015.
Is the world a better place today than fifty years ago? I guess when you ask a twenty or thirty-year old, you will get a different answer than you would asking a seventy-year old.
My generation did not change the world for the better. ๐
But if there is one thing that I learnt, is that maintaining and nurturing close relationships and teaching lessons of love and tolerance, has the best chance (by means of its ripple effect of interlinking circles of influence) to "make the world a better place".
Blessings on your newborn!
