I read a similar remark in an Andy Capp cartoon many years ago - there were many good comments by him and his wife Flo.

Another one that I recall:

Andy Capp, being told by his wife Flo to stop playing football considering his age, insists on going anyhow. Flo shouts after him: "... and if you break a leg, don't come running home to me." 🙂
