George VII is an option. Then again, there's the obvious Charles III.
I have more and more time for Charles these days; I think he is subject to a lot of unfair criticism. Princess Diana was practically forced upon him (meanwhile the Queen, of course, set her eyes on Prince Philip and would have no other), and Camilla was always in the picture.
Charles was a passionate environmentalist before the consequences of pollution were known so ubiquitously. Also remember that he had a difficult childhood as the heir presumptive from the time of birth and the busy Queen for a mother (not to mention Philip for a father!).
I think that he will surprise everyone and actually be a good King.

@ponderable saidI used to think this, but I don't think William is ready yet. Him and Catherine need time to raise their children without the burden of the crown. That's a luxury that was never afforded to the Queen or her children, and I think they have suffered because of it.
Maybe we can just jump to his son William?
