There were more days lost to strike action in the 90s than there were in the 70s. You appear to be mainlining on Party Political Broadcast TV scripts circa 1983 when there were 4.5 million unemployed - people were absolutely desparate for work - and unions could hardly have been weaker.

There were winners and there were losers in the Thatcher decade. I don't think any of us need to be too Sports Fan-like about it. 20-25 years later, what's the point of us being so black and white about it?
