Lawyers, guns and money.

That's what we need more of. Then there'd be peace on earth.

Planning is in preliminary stages only.
No need to worry yet.

I'll give you a "heads up" when FMF asks me to hire the Transit van.

The question wasn't about "me" worrying.

I don't worry over what other people do, I can't do anything about that. All I can do is make sure they don't do it to me or the ones I love. If that worries him, that's not my business or my concern.

Agreed. What's to love about a damned gun? They're made for killing. Fact of life. God forbid you or I should ever need to use one.
It didn't help my dad and step dad when our mom and pop grocery store was held up by robbers running in and shooting first THEN robbing the till. Step dad got it in the back, dad got it in the head and died a couple weeks later. Mom also shot, glancing blow to head. They were armed but it happened so fast nobody on Earth, Bruce Lee or anyone else could have stopped it.

I don't have a gun and never have been close to needing one.

Well then, I guess you've proven the case for why Americans have the right to bear arms.

Bear as much as you can carry - just don't use them.

2nd amendment - "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed".

"Well regulated militia", not so much anymore. Originally intended, to the best of my knowledge, to prevent government tyranny. Perhaps one of the more astute American history buffs can verify that.

Otherwise, in my opinion, gun ownership is for personal defense. The right to bear arms "shall not be infringed".

As a non-American I don't expect you to agree, or understand what it means.

Why don't you expect non-Americans to understand?
Are Americans born with special comprehension skills?
(If so - they hide it well)

But come on, the wackos in Waco demonstrated that it's fairly stupid to go up against government. We have a robust legal system. Better to go to jail and let the lawyers battle it out.

At least we walk upright instead of hanging from our feet like New Zealanders.
