I don't think she said she brought back anyone from the dead. She said that she has administered CPR to people and that some make it and some don't. Have a nice long read all about CPR and you will find that this makes perfect sense. In order to 'bring back anyone from the dead' (your words, not hers) you need defibrillators, drugs like adrenaline and atropine and an operating theatre, ideally. CPR simply maintains blood flow, albeit at a less efficient rate than the heart, around 30 percent at best.
Another thing: heathcare professionals will indeed forget how many patients they work with/on over a long period. Why do you suspect this is a joke? In a 30-year career as a SAR helicopter winch operator/winchman paramedic, I have forgotten how many times I've been involved in a CPR protocol. And that's not a joke. Most don't make it of course but some do, which is always surprising.
But a word to the wise: why start an argument with someone about something you plainly know nothing about? At best it makes you look a wee bit foolish.

Edit: CPR on its own almost never brings anyone around. If your circulation stops for more than a few minutes without CPR, it's usually adios. As I said, prompt, high quality CPR plus immediate specialist care will occasionally do the trick.
