I get your point, but you are not exactly correct. Korea and Iraq saw the US win.

For perspective...
After 9/11 Americans should have leveled the middle east and done away with everyone and put Americans over their to get the oil.
You can't win a war unless you are willing to kill everything.
I'm afraid we live in a time where we won't ever see a war being won because of people's unwillingness to do what it takes to win.
