This thread serves as an earnest base for a discussion.

The rules:

* be clear!
* don't disguise things.

So there is an art to questioning.

The grammatic or syntactic structure is not making a question a question.

A question which is a statement in disuse is not furthering the communication.

If you want to I invite you to discuss the thesis above.

Enjoy

May I assume you mean disguise and not disuse?

Given the nature of Internet forums like this one (i.e., anonymity, hidden agendas,
insincerity, pretense, satire, and so on...) is a meaningful discussion even possible?

The post that was quoted here has been removed
two good points drew.

* Ignoring disrupting posts can concentrate discussion
+ ignored disruptors are discouraged to continue disrupting.
- ignored posters could increase posting frequency or disruptive potential.
->ignoring will be harder

* A bit of lightheartedness and humor will increase the emotional interest in the topic and thread.
+ increased interest and better understanding
- becoming clownesk and thus disruptive

Grandfather Bob we will it do my way or we will it in the whole --- now and never do. Your friend the ponderable laugh loud.

Google translator? This was not really German. But you made your point quite clear: Now I am the Kind of the copy thread!

Same translator I used a few days ago in conversation on this forum with lolof and C. Hess.
Hope you enjoyed my feeble attempt at humour in another language.

Who would deny that a question that is a statement, may be a rhetorical question?

"The rhetorical question is usually defined as any question asked for a purpose other than to obtain the information the question asks." -- found somewhere on the internet

In the fine art of questioning the rhetoric question has no place IMVHO.

Just above insignificant which is about a "Muggeseckele" above unimportant.
