That's why I picked Jennifer Hawkins above Suze. It would cost me a fortune trying to drink her under the table. Half a glass of wine who probably render JH unconscious with the little she eats.

I'm hoping (for your sake) that the cheap date comment wasn't indirectly pointed at Suze. I wouldn't like to take her on. She's a fiery one.

Did you check if my "claim" as you put it, was correct?

Wouldn't want to tame her. I love a fiery woman. Much more interesting than the quiet submissive ones. I've seen the way she throws you around and that endears me to her even more. One wild bronco is Suze.

Considering your attitudes to certain marital dynamics as revealed recently in the spirituality forum, I'd say "submissive" was the the characteristic you are looking for.

Many years ago a friend asked me what type of women I was looking for, I said "one who can hold me down".

Blimey, would never throw mud at Suzianne. She is likely to return fire with jagged rocks.

Yes. On page 163 the last post was on December 9, 2010; then a gap until August 19, 2011, when I was recovered enough from the paralysis to slowly propel a wheelchair with upper body arm strength from my Hall 400 Room to the Common Area adjacent to Nursing Station #3 where there was an old computer designated for patient use [which meant waiting for your turn during daylight hours]. My son had contacted Russ a week or two earlier to provide him with a temporary email address and passcode so that I could access Red Hot Pawn. Also enjoyed memorable chess games with kiki46, ChessPraxis and sonhouse on that old/slow computer from August, 2011, until, as previously stated, I was discharged from this physical rehabilitation facility in early April, 2012 [the first Tuesday, I believe]. My son booked a flight to assist with my relocation to this brand new apartment; his luggage contained several personal items, clothing, books and my laptop which was purchased in March, 2004. Still have fond memories of our reunion.

So in fact your "claim" that you were away from the forums until April 2012 was incorrect?

Friday, December 10, 2010, I became paralyzed hip to knees [without an impact injury, stroke or seizure] until April, 2012, when I was discharged [having regained 15 of the 61 lbs. lost during the first five weeks when my son was called and told: "Your Dad is near death; you may want to book a flight to be with him one last time." which he and his lovely wife did]. More than a dozen doctors and specialists who performed numerous diagnostic tests and procedures were unable to determine the cause. There was, however, a consensus that a "gradual miracle had occurred". My present weight is well within the desirable range for a man of my height and age. Occasional Neuropathy along the soles of my feet is the only lingering side effect from this serious illness. Your question was asked and answered in some detail in a thread in this forum.within a month of my return."

If our roles were reversed with you suddenly paralyzed and subsequently confined to an adjustable hospital bed, catheterized and diapered and helpless to feed or bathe yourself and near death, would you take kindly to my public interrogation of the details of your son or daughter or family member's resourcefulness in taking the initiative to contact Russ on your behalf so that you would still be able to participate on Red Hot Pawn the following August against all odds? The only fact that is evident is your habit of exaggeration. I politely pointed out your error and you demanded evidence of my claim in one of your posts above. No one is contesting that you had a period of illness and I'm not being unsympathetic that you experienced it.

My thanks to the three of you for voluntarily identifying yourselves for who and what you've become. Let's hope your grandchildren will learn from the examples you've set when they too become members of Red Hot Pawn. In the meanwhile and for the foreseeable future we're done here..

You're a strange chap, Grampy Bobby. You, from time to time, berate people - only those you don't respect, mind you - for talking about themselves in their posts. You've done it to me numerous times.

A few weeks ago you lampooned me for being self-centred when I related a two sentence personal anecdote about myself - you even counted how many times I used the pronoun "my" and "I" ~ the 'vertical pronoun' as you like to call it when you sneer at people for using it when they post ~ and you suggested that the egotistical focus on myself that I exhibited in telling that short personal anecdote deserved a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

And yet here you are recounting the same story - yet again, how many times has it been... ten times? twenty times? more? - about yourself at great length and in great detail and it's as if you're scattering it around yourself like egg shells and taking needy pot shots at those who step on them or who call you on your manipulative ways or on the inconsistencies found in your stock-in-trade here-it-comes-yet-again personal anecdote. You should take your own advice, Grampy Bobby, and have a look at what you have become🙂
