Wrong date. That's just when the first prisoners arrived. Our real date is something quite different.

Really though, throughout history indigenous peoples have been driven to near extinction in nearly every land on the globe.
I mean WTF?! Tough to be proud of land grabbing forefathers. (Speaking of my own country)

After viewing satellite images of both USA and Australia at night, what an amazing difference in population density. Or they need to build more power plants. ๐Ÿ˜›

It's not a shortage of power plants.

On Wikipedia's list, US is ranked 179th with 32 people per square km.
Australia is 235th with 3.2, or just one-tenth of the US figure. Only Namibia, French Guiana, Western Sahara, Mongolia, Falklands and Greenland are below us in the 241-country list.

And a sizeable portion of our population think it's too crowded here ...

Where do we find Sweden on that list?

If we discount island and miniature countries (which cheat by being a forced case), the only ones above us are Bangladesh, Taiwan (an island but a massive one), Palestine (another forced case, really), South Korea and (which surprised me) Lebanon.
We're the most densely populated country in Europe. We're also one of the happiest and one of the least likely to have problems with immigrants and other faiths. Suck on that, Pauline! (And Geert, and Nigelle.)

Think a little more than Wyoming (2.3 per square km) or Montana (2.7 per square km), but less than North Dakota (4.0 per square km). ๐Ÿ™‚
