Note that the average score was 49%, college profs averaged 55%, and elected officials, surprising no one, bring up the rear with 44%.

I'll post my score if you post yours.
It appears that most of the posters here are more knowledgeable on American civics than college professors. Doesn't surprise me a bit.

Your grasp of the test parameters is as accurate as your grasp of reality.

Me neither. Whatever you think of your fellow posters' politics and opinions, the people who participate in political forums regularly inevitably know more about such subject than the average person. And college profs include computer science, business administration, and other professors who could easily have made it through their undergraduate period with a minimum of electives. I think if it was limited to social science profs the scores would be pretty high.

29 out of 33, or 88%.

Not bad for a foreigner, surely?

Like others I was confused by the public good question, and got the "If taxes equal government spending" question wrong because I failed to notice the word "on average".

I got 27 answers correct (needless to say, all the wrong ones were about US history and its constitution). The question about progressive tax has two right answers; progressive taxation does, in general, increase investment because it boosts domestic demand, thus creating incentives for businesses to expand.

You answered 24 out of 33 correctly — 72.73 %

Not bad for an Aussie, I thought.

Of the nine I got wrong though, one was a miss click and I take issue with a couple.

The disputed questions I highlighted, as for the rest, how the hell was I meant to know that!

Oops hastily edited out. When the test settles I might post my objections

30/33.

Two I missed did not surprise me; one was a stupid mistake.

Edit: I would feel more proud of the score if questions like that one asking about who the U.S. fought in WWII weren't on it...

If it was all like the 'wall of separation' question, that would separate out the patriots 😛
