No, he's still funny. Now he apparently (and mistakenly) believes the Internet is an American invention and that Americans should use "their" Internet to fight IS.

The Internet is (was) an American invention (the Internet is not the same thing as the World Wide Web, which was developed at CERN).

Even with this nitpicking definition it is not true.

The Internet as we know it today first started being developed in the late 1960's in California in the United States.

The origins of the Internet date back to research and development commissioned by the United States government, the Government of the UK and France in the 1960s to build robust, fault-tolerant communication via computer networks.[3] [4] [5] [6] This work, led to the primary precursor networks, the ARPANET, in the United States, Manchester Mark 1 in the United Kingdom and CYCLADES in France.

But of course, in modern parlance, when people talk about "the Internet" they usually mean the World Wide Web, not the precursor technology it is based on.

Ooh...an argument on the Internet...

...about the Internet.

This is like wearing a beanie with two propellers, one stacked atop the other. Those kinds of things sell on the Internet.
