My point wasn't that I was hoping for tragedy. I was saying that such an event seems the only way that Americans (especially right wingers) will have any empathy for other nations or focus less on war and more on American needs.
But then again, since I was replying to someone who said he wants Americans burning in lava, I can see why you thought I was hoping for tragedy. I'm not.
