MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- A New Hampshire man says he swiped his debit card at a gas station to buy a pack of cigarettes and was charged over 23 quadrillion dollars.

Josh Muszynski (Moo-SIN'-ski) checked his account online a few hours later and saw the 17-digit number -- a stunning $23,148,855,308,184,500 (twenty-three quadrillion, one hundred forty-eight trillion, eight hundred fifty-five billion, three hundred eight million, one hundred eighty-four thousand, five hundred dollars).

Muszynski says he spent two hours on the phone with Bank of America trying to sort out the string of numbers and the $15 overdraft fee.

The bank corrected the error the next day.

Bank of America tells WMUR-TV only the card issuer, Visa, could answer questions. Visa, in turn, referred questions to the bank.

What a bummer it'd have been if the bank and Visa had closed ranks and insisted the guy pay it.

PS: I also have a BoA Visa card. I never had such a bad experience. The most I was ever overcharged was 430 billion dollars, give or take a few hundred million.

And even that was partially my fault. I never should have lent my card to Congress. 😉

The Democrats are just trying to cure of our addictions by taxing things so high. For example, how much better would it be if everyone quite smoking? Now if I can just stop my addiction to driving and warming and cooling my house. Then there is my addiction to medical care and food. Please Mr. Obama, help me. Make these things unaffordable so I no longer can afford them.

Don't worry, the Republicans ruined the economy by letting the corporations and the super-rich loot it. Soon you won't have a job - then living WILL BE unaffordable and you can crawl off into your spacious cardboard box and die.

I'm going back behind the appliance store today to pick up a refrigerator box. I will fit it with a co2 scrubber so they cant tax me on that. Life is good.
