Explain why you are for open borders in the US But opposed to open borders in Gaza and West Bank?
The first sentence is wrong and the second nonsensical.

You want to blindly accept a politician's word because it supports a justification for the continued refusal of the Israeli government to engage in any serious negotiations with the Palestinians.

I don't find "Bill Clinton says so" in his self-serving memoirs as persuasive as you are pretending to. If you have anything other then that that disputes the points in my link, please present it.
Actually I'm extremely angry and afraid because of the failure to negotiate a deal with the Palestinians, but that doesn't mean Arafat wasn't at fault for walking out of Camp David when, at the very least, he could have kept trying to negotiate.

I don't have time right now, but I'm sure we could each find 100 links to support our positions as there are an infinite number of people with opinions on these issues.

Dennis Ross, of course, echoes Clinton's position.

https://havurahshirhadash.org/interview-with-dennis-ross/

It's spelled out in much more detail in his book, The Missing Peace.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/0374529809

Granted, I'm biased (as most people are, on this issue). But I have no trouble criticizing Israeli actions when I don't agree with them.

I'll accept the position of the Clinton administration on what happened at Camp David because they were the mediators, and wanted to close the deal as much as anyone did.

Area C in the West Bank has the largest share of your graph. Area C is the part of the West Bank controlled by Israeli Military. Problem is that many Arabs try to build illegal structures in this area and when found they are demolished. Weest Bank is notorious for terrorists and suicide bombers. When these people are found their properties are destroyed. In addition there is whole lot of building that go up without proper authorisaton and approval.
Area C is where all the Zionist settlements are in the WB and as my article shows, Palestinians are virtually never granted permission to build there as well as existing homes being demolished.

These are the "empty areas" sh76 mentioned.

Then why are about 1000 Palestinian homes demolished by the Israelis each year in the West Bank?https://www.ochaopt.org/data/demolition
By definition, a demolition is not appropriating the house for usage by Israelis, meaning that your post in no way buttresses Z's nutty and bizarre claim that Jews fled Arab lands to get free housing stolen from Palestinians.

AvJoe not following crux of this thread, I’m not ‘brushed-up’ as are you fellas, but I was taken with your statement above that marauder says open our border but close Gaza’s?!?!?!!

I will stop fighting for a moment to concede that the appropriation of all of Area C (and the threat to annex it that comes up from time to time) is wrong and counterproductive.

And it makes me sad, to be honest.

Maybe not free housing but it’s still free land for developers to build rental properties on

My friends making payments on million dollar mortgages in Israel would appreciate guidance on how to get these free houses. Do you have any?

In all seriousness, you think Israelis are marching into Palestinian cities and taking over their houses? Israelis aren't even ALLOWED in Palestinian cities by ISRAELI law. I've seen the big red signs forbidding Israelis from going anywh ...[text shortened]... ties.

Where Israelis do live in the West Bank, they built new villages on previously empty areas.
Ashdod and Ashkelon are Palestinian cities

It takes a large degree of nativity and/or dishonesty to assert the US was ever an impartial broker between Israel and the Palestinians.

Mention of onerous conditions like the 99 year lease on the Jordan Valley, permanent Israeli control of Palestine airspace, etc. etc. seem to be absent in Ross or Clinton's versions aren't they?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkelon

The town was conquered by Israeli forces on 5 November 1948, by which time much of the Arab population had fled,[4] leaving some 2700 inhabitants, of whom Israeli soldiers deported 500 in December 1948,[4] and most of the rest were deported by 1950.[5] Today, the city's population is almost entirely Israeli Jews

Its a security issue. Area C surrounds West Bank, and almost no Palestinian get approval for building in this area. Reason : you would be very stupid to grant your enemy who wants you dead, permission to build near your border.

If you look at it from a security standpoint, area C is the access route to Jewish settlement outside of West Bank. Israel justifiably has this area under lockdown. Almost no Palestinians are allowed here... with good reason.

Sad yes, but necessary.

at what point do you or 76 mention the muslim jihadist, twelvers if you will, using the people of west bank and gaza to further their plans of destruction. its strange to me how you both just ignore this.

as expected he now says he was against US open borders...that is after claiming ALL borders should be eliminated. The same as he believes there are no different races but will call someone racist.
must be torture living his life.
