Among all the complex problems in the world, this is a really easy one to fix. It's not partisan. It's not controversial. Use a non-partisan committee to draw the lines fairly.

Partisan gerrymandering makes a joke out of any country pretending to be a representative democracy.

Seconded.

Non Partisan?

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nonpartisan

especially : free from party affiliation, bias, or designation

Nearly impossible. Everyone has bias.
I am not a democrat or a republican. I am the closest thing to non partisan as you can probably get. Would you be okay putting me on that committee?

@sh76

Non Partisan people do not exist.
Have AI do it. AI has no bias.

Of course AI has bias. Someone has to write its rules and that someone has a bias.

I'm not a conspiracy nut and I'm, certainly not going to whine about AI being biased against by viewpoints, but as an avid LLM user, I can detect when the LLMs are covering things up or going out of its way to draw false equivalency. Grok, Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini all have slightly different biases that can be predicted before you ask certain questions.

You can have bias without letting it affect your decisions. An employer may not like Islam but may still hire a woman in hijab who seems qualified.

Well, non partisan committees that control redistricting is to let people who aren't politicians drawing the lines. It's a simple conflict of interest issue, not bias-related. You could call them "independent redistricting committees" if that makes you feel better, making sure there is input and consensus from both liberals and conservatives who are not active in politics.

All of DEI is gone now, but one of the DEI initiatives that was actually good and working was implicit bias training. The goal of those programs was to educate people about the existence of their own biases, not to eliminate them because of course that's impossible.

Just educate. Know they are there. If you know they are there then that limits the influence of those biases on your decision making.

The problem with that is who owns that Ai?

When Ai started saying crime stats and demographics and other problem areas, it was a bit too truthful for the woke tards so they regulated the Ai to not tell the truth so much.

Many people have done tests on multiple Ai to prove this. They even did before and after scenarios.

@wildgrass

Readers should note that wildgas wants gerrymandering to stop but is perfectly fine with elimination of the Electoral College because big cities with population centers vote blue and wildgas doesn't want each state to have a say.

Not only will biased opinions always exist.

So will hypocrisy apparently 🙄

Meanwhile the Muslim owner only hires Muslims of their own kind.

I love the electoral college. You must be talking about someone else.

Remember when those storm troopers beat up over 100 cops trying to stop the electoral college votes from certification? Were you there? Beating up cops?

Hell, no.

Your excuse would be that aliens told you how to draw the boundaries.

You have that backwards, "tard".
