How long has it been since Cruz murdered people in the school in FL? The news media is still covering it after all this time. They know full well the more attention these horrible shootings get the more likely a copy cat will do something similar somewhere else in the country.
Now I hear of another shooting at CMU. If the news media had focused on other stories more recent than the now famous Cruz murder spree the CMU shooting may have never happened.

Does the corporate news media have blood on their hands for giving Cruz his moment in fame such widespread coverage? Does anyone really think the news media is unaware of their role in encouraging copy cat killings?

Nope, it's the NRA's fault.

There was an article about this recently.
Turns out mass shootings come in groups.
Researchers found that there was an "infectious" period after a shooting
(something like 10 days from memory) within which another shooting was more likely.

The researchers called on the media to show restraint and not publish names or photos of the killers.

The bile can't taste good there in the back of your throat, blood pressure rising every time you sign on, bracing yourself in order to keep/maintain your perspective against the onslaught of <gasp!> ideas! you're now accustomed to confronting every single time, steeling yourself to be ready/first with the insults... it's exhausting after awhile.
Why not just let it go, breathe?

How long has it been since Hillary's email scandal and uranium deal broke? Fox News has been beating these 2 stories to death for over a year. Maybe if FIX news shut up about these, all copycat political scandals would end too! 🙄

Blaming the media for everything might be fun, but it doesn't make any sense.

Yes. There is a contagion for sure. It is amazing how many people are in denial of that though. Some people just refuse to accept it for stupid reasons.

Every country on the planet has crazy people. We are not unique.

But...we have crazy people with easy access to weapons of war.
That's the problem.

Stop sloganeering and look a little--- not a lot, just a little--- deeper.

Actually Cruz said he was trying to outdo the shooter in the Colorado school shooting.

So yes, the media is at least partially responsible.

But hey, it makes them money and they can use it to promote gun control, so it's all good.
