Since we are asking questions lately about what is a right, what do you think of porn in prisons?

Apparently, the ACLU is pushing for inmates to have access to porn.
Personally, I think this is an outrage!! I mean, who are we to deny prisoners the right to porn no matter how much it costs the taxpayers? The ACLU nailed it, porn is a right for all just like health care or welfare or social security etc. Thanks God we have organizations like the ACLU to protect all of our rights. Without them, we could have a continuous pornless prison system!! :'(

What I have never understood is why prostitution is illegal but porn is legal.

But I would guess that the legalities surrounding it have to do with the potential for exploitation - but then I cant argue any further than that.
Most likely the law makers like looking at porn but don't engage prostitutes (or at least are very ashamed of doing so).

Are they punishment?
Are they to keep people away from society?
The basic problem I think you have is that the tax payer has to pay to keep prisoners alive and grant them basic rights and you don't like paying all that money for someone you see as having ripped off society.
