I’ve been called a few things over the years, but it is a common reference towards those people with whom they disagree. The unstable hear that enough of that, and violence occurs, and if people read these OPs here alone and the things said, there is enough to send someone over the top. Words matter, and those who spew hate-filled rants are partly to blame.

That's right, Trump and his worthless to God worshippers are to blame for their hate-filled rants. Finally a post of yours that we agree upon. 🙂

"Chickens coming home to roost" as they say. 🙂

I was horrified. You are seeking a moral equivalence to avoid owning your hateful rants?
So was anyone with half a brain. Just wondered if you knew about that shooting.

Maybe he is afraid to say it but I aint. I dont care about terrorists, BLM. WOKE, murderers, pedophiles, Islamic extremists, leftists in general, and all their supporters. If anything bad happens to them Im not losing any sleep. They are not on my radar so I dont care.
Did you see the latest BLM activist saying they have a right to violence when asked about the Kirk assassination?
Disgusting.

People trying to find some moral equivalent to ignore the latest act of hate shows as much about themselves than me.

It's not an attempt at moral equivalence at all. The government response to these two assassinations has been completely different.

When a politician was assassinated for her political views, there was zero response from the federal government. Nothing from the white house or FBI, even though the lunatic shooter sent his confession directly to the FBI.

When a social media influencer was assassinated for his political views, there was an immediate and absurdly over the top response. Flags nationwide ordered to half mast for a week of mourning. FBI issued multiple statements and updates on the manhunt within 4 hours.

These are not equivalent events in the eyes of our government. Charlie Kirk meant more than Melissa hortman and it appears that trump wants you to agree.

Flags at half mast for this guy? There was a school shooting in Iowa and Trump literally told a crowd there to "get over it" less than a day later.

Are you dressing in all black today to mourn the loss of a social media influencer?

Yes I did. Disgusting. Saw also lots of sm posts with people laughing, jeering and celebrating. Reminds me of Gaza after Oct 7th ... laugh first, pay later.

Kirk's shooting fits into the "white males are terribly persecuted in the US" motif which is a driving force behind MAGA; other tragedies do not so they are ignored by right wingers and the media sources they rely on.

That said, there's a bit too many posts here which have a "he was a scumbag anyway; who cares?" vibe for my taste.

Who cares just because I didn't know anything about him except from googling just now. He's a good podcaster? Must be he is popular since he can draw a few thousand to his live podcasts.

I'm honestly curious what his life accomplishments are to win such praise?

Flags to half mast seems a ridiculous overreaction. No?

Flags being flown at half-mast for deaths of individuals is fairly routine even if they aren't A-list famous.https://flagsexpress.com/blog/flags-half-staff/?srsltid=AfmBOoq9K7e49YmVG5ot_roUBAznfLtfqMbxFupUCMmLO9hVFeN9GFCP

I'll assume you're not just trolling.

Charlie Kirk was more than a mere influencer. He was a brilliant debater who, practically every day, would engage in respectful dialogue with those who disagreed with him.

He was a hero to millions of young people who aspire to be able to think and talk like Charlie to all comers. As it happens, one of those young people is my 16 year old son, who's read his books and watches him daily.

While you obviously wouldn't agree with his politics, he was not an extremist in any sense of the word. He had his religious beliefs, but would never personally attack anyone for theirs. He was always respectful and calm.

I can see why the leftists wanted him taken out; and I don't mean the person who did it, I mean the tens of thousands (or maybe millions, I don't know) of leftists celebrating his death on X and Bluesky. I'm sure it was very difficult for leftists to watch him make minced meat of most of the people he debated - and do so calmly and respectfully.

He was an up and coming extremely talented religious young man with a beautiful family who was cut down in the middle of engaging in a respectful debate with someone with whom he disagreed.

RIP, Charlie.

It's a sad day in this country.

After all these decades, assassinations have once again become a thing in the US.

Obviously it's also sad when ordinary people get killed. But that's not the point. He was possibly the most visible young conservative in the country - maybe the most admired too.

I'm not going to start blaming the rhetoric of mainstream Democrats. I'm really not. That's a bridge too far. But there's no question that the hysterical anger on social media against those who don't toe the Orthodoxy has contributed to the this climate. In 2021 and 2022, I imagine the anger was less. In those days, the leftists ran social media. If you were conservative, Facebook and Twitter would shadowban or demonetize you. There was no reason for the leftists to be upset. They were winning. Now that the pendulum has swung, the anger and frustration or losing the "hearts and minds" battle seems to be spilling over.

It is sad and terrifying that this still happens in the US.
It is sad and terrifying that this will be another shower of thoughts and prayers and 0 actions.
Vigilantism is sad and terrifying. (if that was even the reason he was shot)
It is sad and terrifying the scumbags of this forum are bending over backwards clutching their pearls at this scumbag passing while having no reaction whatsoever at another school shooting (what was it, the 47th?)

Once some time has passed people will admit this is not a society anyone should want to live in and Charlie Kirk shouldn't have been murdered. I have stated myself he shouldn't have been murdered.

That being said, Charlie Kirk was a scumbag who enriched himself peddling hate and republican propaganda and, ignoring the circumstances in which he got removed, the world is a better place without him in it.

I can bet you cannot give one good reason why Charlie Kirk deserved death. But you have no problem supporting Islam which openly calls for death to Christians and other unbelievers, a call actually praciticed by some Muslim idiots.

Charlie Kirk believed the following ..
- in God
- that homosexuality is a sin according to God
- that Islam was an evil cult, which it is as it destroys people's lives
- that abortion is a sin which it is
- that encouraging young children to change their sex is foolish.

None of those beliefs caused the death of anyone. The man is free to believe as he wish, but according you leftist maniacs, you are quick to call for the death to people who oppose your sick disgusting doctrine, and quick to use profanities, obscenities and other insults when speaking to people.

Prove it liar? Not one word in the Bible anywhere about abortion being a sin; that's Islam numb skull; your favorite religion. 🙂

Liar! Not one person here has called for the death of anyone liar. Charlie was a worthless to God pos; end of story you poor worthless trumptarded victim. You freaks cry more than grade school kids when they don't get their little way. Awwww..... 😆

When you right-wing freaks care and cry just as much for the dem leaders who were murdered by a right-wing nut job then you have something to discuss. Until then, stick it where the sun don't shine you worthless losers.
