“It was a very easy decision for me to yank him from that position," DeSantis said during a Tuesday news conference.

Oh, was it? How easy was it for you to appoint him in the first place, eh? Not a good judge of character.

Next question: how easy would it be to yank Trump from his position?

@moonbus

He was not convicted. Did he admit to the alleged crime?

Republican Who Backed Death Penalty for Pedophiles Faces Child Sex Charges

Palm Beach County Clerk of Court Michael Caruso, a former Republican state legislator who previously backed the death penalty for adults convicted of sexually battering children under 12, was arrested Tuesday on five felony child sex abuse charges.

The 67-year-old married father of seven, who was appointed by Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, faces five felony counts: kidnapping, child molestation, lewd exhibition, luring or enticing a child and child abuse causing mental injury, an arrest affidavit shows.

Wow.

@moonbus

I am not saying he is innocent, but allegations alone seems a bit weird.
What if it turns out the allegations are false and he is completely innocent?

He probably is guilty. Psychological projection is common with stuff like this.
Lindsey Graham never married and was the subject of gay rumors for decades despite his longstanding opposition to equal rights for LGBTQ+ people.

I agree. He lives in a country that accepts, innocent, till proven guilty.

Maybe people should start listening to victims. Especially children. Children don't make up stories like this, unless it has happened to them.

Actually they sometimes do, but it is very rare.
Sometimes a child's parent might pressure a child to lie.

Would it surprise you to find out Michael Jackson was falsely accused at least once because the child's parents wanted the pop star's money? What if a family was blackmailed into making false allegations to bring down a politician?

That does not mean the accused is innocent; it means the prosecution has the burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Listen to the victim. Some woman probably did, at some point, falsely accuse some rich man of rape, to extort money from him. No child would make this up, about his own grandfather; there is nothing in it for a child to falsely accuse someone of this.

Children are very easy to get to say anything you want
