@wildgrass saidIs this the long term plan or is this a part of the beginning stages. How many of the start ups from other countries are up and running? Do you agree with American companies leaving to other countries where costs are a fraction of what they are here losing more and more American jobs?
You sugar coat the pig.
Bring back manufacturing? That's an outcome not a policy. The policy is sweeping inflationary taxes on imports and retaliatory trade wars on agricultural that results in increased government spending on subsidies to support farmers fueling a massive rise in deficit spending. The end result adds manufacturing jobs, but the bill is being paid through government debt and taxation.

@Great-Big-Stees saidSomething Canada couldn’t do with sht nato spending and only around 50% of your military actually being able to be deployed๐๐๐ญ. What do you think of fat ass ford and his empty blow hard tough guy speeches?
Wait…there’s more. He hinted at name changes for the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. OMG America…ok the U S A, is taking over the world’s waters.๐ฒ
@Soothfast saidWhat would the cost be changing every road, hwy, and interstate sign to metric along with every other thing that would have to be changed? Do you think this is necessary here to do this? What about the cost of supporting/taken advantage of in things like nato and many other causes around the world. Guess they can’t hack it.
Americans seem to be the only ones in the world who can't hack the metric system, so even before Trump they've been isolated.
As I've said in another thread, these kinds of name changes cost US taxpayers tens of millions of dollars a pop, and it will cost tens of millions more to undo the change a couple minutes after Trump is gone. It's a blatant example of "waste, frau ...[text shortened]... normous ego of one very small, constitutionally weak man who is incapable of mastering his emotions.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidStupid response.
It’s called being a hypocrite my dear

They are NOT the same.
@mike69 saidYou wanna keep jobs, then decrease inflation.

You know whose job that is, right?
@moonbus saidMaybe the rest of the world should save themselves and isolate America.
The issue itself is trivial, but the pattern is anything but trivial. "When America sneezes, the world gets a cold," as the saying goes. Right now, America has a severe case of measles, literally and figuratively, and even if it does not prove fatal, deep scars have been left which will not be erased. Other countries will not trust America to stick to 'deals' or treaties for a very long time to come.
